The challenge

Fish-farming operations depend on connected processes: feeding, water management, power availability, and monitoring. Coordinating these processes is an opportunity to reduce reliance on manual intervention.

The solution

Lartek designed and deployed an automated fish-farming system combining industrial PLCs, embedded controllers, and sensor networks with physical farm infrastructure.

What the system brings together

  • Automated feeding systems.
  • Water recycling and treatment systems.
  • Sensor networks and fish-health monitoring.
  • Solar-powered backup infrastructure.
  • Remote monitoring, automated alerts, and reporting.

Where hardware meets software

The project connects physical equipment with control logic and operational visibility. Embedded controllers and industrial automation support the farm processes, while remote monitoring gives operators a way to understand system activity.

An integrated operating system

The deployed system brings these capabilities together to support fish production with reduced manual intervention. The project illustrates Lartek’s ability to work across electronics, automation, power integration, and software.
